The Haiti Earthquake occurred on January 12, 2010. Some estimates place the death toll at 300,000. Hundreds of thousands are still homeless, living in one of the many dozens of tent camps scattered throughout the area of the capital city and the other areas to the west and south that were devastated. The need for continued assistance will go on perhaps for some years to come. Many non-profit and NGO organizations from various nations continue to give aid to Haiti, but still the needs are so much greater than any aid received so far.
The contributions that we receive at Heart of God Ministries that are given for earthquake relief are being used for two purposes, which align themselves with the major purpose that this ministry exists. We are helping some of our major associates who lost their homes to purchase land and begin rebuilding, so that the ministry to which they have been called for the revival of the nation will not be stalled because of 
their personal tragedies. We are also using some of these funds to gather pastors together in various cities and towns, to give them spiritual food, encouragement, teaching, steps to take to maintain unity in prayer and to draw their churches into a path that will turn tragedy into spiritual and national triumph. These pastors’ conferences, with food for their bodies and food for their spirits, give them hope and the tools with which they can draw their congregations, cities, and nation to Christ in an even more powerful way because of the earthquake.
