In the work of spiritual revival to which we are called and anointed in Haiti, we have a team of Haitians who are in various stages of discipling, mentoring, and partnering with us in ministry. For some years I travelled with one son/disciple/co-worker/associate, Joèl Cornet. Currently I can identify eight men who are standing beside me at one level or another in ministry. I want to introduce them and let you see their photos. I would call the first three men my primary Co-Laborers in this work:
1) JOÈL CORNET: Joèl has been with me for 13 years. He was headed for a career as a professional soccer player when God called him to dedicate his life to ministry. He has forsaken all possibilities to hold a regular job so that he can always be available to me at a moment’s notice. He is responsible for all that I have in Haiti, including the ministry vehicle. He is both
son and counselor to me; servant and leader, my disciple and my protector. Joèl is married with three children and an elder in his church in the city of Jacmèl. He is lifelong best friend to…
2) JESPER SINEUS: I have known Jesper for 23 years. He has a testimony that includes years of drug and alcohol addiction. God called me to remain a “father” to him through many years of sin and deception. He became the Director of Adoptions during the years we had an orphanage, but still proved himself untrustworthy. More years of pain and problems, and a life in the United States for six years resulted in healing, deliverance, and a life filled with the Holy Spirit and dedicated to serve God. Called back to Haiti, Jesper will always be at my side, and is now getting ready to start a center for lost and addicted youth through Global Teen Challenge. Jesper is formerly married with two children.
3) PASTOR ESDRAS JEAN-PIERRE: I met Pastor Esdras when he was living in Santo Domingo. He calls me his apostle and is a true disciple of revival. He is also a most capable and gifted teacher and preacher. He is a prayer warrior, waking up regularly in the middle of the night to spend hours before the Lord. He goes out to gather pastors in towns and villages, teaching them everything I have taught and then taking me to deepen their worship and further instruct their hearts and minds. Pastor Esdras is married with three three children.
4) PASTOR HERODE GUILLOMETTRE: I call Pastor Guillomettre a partner in ministry. He has many ministries in Haiti, head of one of the major associations of Protestant pastors. He has started churches in various cities and towns; he has a school of micro-business, guest houses, hospitals, and now the magnificent acres of the Transformation Center. He and I have a very unique and special relationship, and I can only say that I have seen years of my own dreams realized in what Pastor Guillomettre is doing in the building of the Transformation Center. I am his spiritual partner in this work, and so grateful to God for the sensitivity of this man in obeying the voice and direction of the Holy Spirit in bringing this dream to reality.
5) RIGAUD DESSOURCES: Having won awards in a vocal talent competition in Hollywood, Rigaud was headed for worldly success when the Lord called him to stay in Haiti. He was a featured soloist at a Pastor’s Conference where I was the worship leader, and drew near to me with a heart hungry for the spirituality he saw pouring from me in worship. He has travelled much with me since then, and has developed into a worship leader with much more than a beautiful voice…one who can lead people to the Throne of God. Pulled out miraculously after living six hours with a brother and sister under earthquake rubble, he has been saved to serve! He also helps to save my voice in leading worship!
6) PASTOR MANÈS BARTHELEMY: Manès was a very young man fresh out of Bible School when he joined my original ministry team. Through many pains and problems, he as well as most of the team left the ministry 9 years ago. Last year he found me and reconciled with tears and repentance, and now he is a close friend and disciple once again. Pastor Manès is married with three children, and lives in a housing project of small wooden homes which a Canadian NGO built to replace a tent camp. We have done a number of ministries in his church, including an outdoor service for youth by the last Teen Challenge team.
7) PASTOR FREDERIC NOZIL: Pastor Frederic had left Haiti many years ago, and was a pastor in the US, when God called him to return to Haiti to be part of the revival of the nation. He moved back and started a church in Petionville. He became acquainted with the same Brazilians as I did, and I met him for the first time in Brazil a month ago! We have spent much time sharing together, and can both see how the Lord has called us into unity in ministry. It just happens that Pastor Frederic’s church is only blocks away from where Jesper lives, so our team becomes tied together even geographically! Pastor Frederic is married with no children.
8) ANDRIS ETIENNE: Andris is a young single man who started an association of leaders of youth groups in the Cabaret area, north of Port-au-Prince. He has done many evangelistic ministries and has an anointing for deliverance ministries and teaching. He attended a Pastors’ Conference which I taught last October and was so inspired that he wanted to draw closer as a disciple. On our trip in January, Andris travelled with us for three days and our sharing together made it evident to all of us that God had brought him into unity with our ministry. Through his association, he will gather youth for a rally to be led by the Teen Challenge team in February, and we know God is calling him to be further mentored in our revival calling.
9) JIMMY CERISEME, JEAN-PAUL ALEXIS, LUCNER BONHOMME:These
three young men are leaders of youth in the church at the mountaintop village of Vallue. They have become disciples of mine, and clearly called by the Lord for spiritual revival ministries. Jimmy is recently married, the other two single. We’re believing that God will use them for a spiritual outbreak in the region surrounding Petit Goave, and together with us in ways the Lord will unfold.
